4X100m: 54.19, (Krejsa, Caldwell, Carri, Palacios), 7/9 in heat

4X400m: 4:17.81, (Krejsa-62.5, Carri-65.0, Tiernan-66.1, Palacios-64.0), 4th in heat.

A beautiful but cold ladies day at Penn. We had a very good trip and saw some great track and field. However! We just are not at a Penn Relays level. All three hand offs in the 4 X 100 had problems, all incoming runners did not get the baton in the outgoing runners hand. That is your responsibility! Get the baton in that hand! Our time was atrocious! In the 4X4 we were better. But Jess had two 61 points in the dual meet vs Passaic on Tuesday and then two days later at Penn gets a great ally way in the lead off leg (unheard of in the messy starts that Penn is known for!) and runs a 62.5 and afterward says in the stands that she just wasn't focused. Championship attitude is running better (faster) when the meet is bigger not slower. The other three legs ran PR splits but we need to be faster (which means more steady and focused work back home) to be competitive. Hopefully this trip pushed us more to a championship level!
